Every great artist in the music business has a “run”. Some are short, some are longer but a good “run” is when the artist/group is at their top relevancy. There is no denying Lil Wayne had one of the best runs ever in hip-hop. From around 2007 until the mid 2010’s he was everywhere. Several multi-platinum albums and an endless stream of features and mixtape music solidified his legacy around this time. Here are 2 of the many Lil Wayne remixes I made during this period.

Nas has proven to be one of the most prolific and gifted MCs of all time and continues to drop quality material well into middle age. His latest album “Magic” is testament to that. I saw a post on a popular message board that the producer of the album, Hit Boy, was looking for djs and producers to mix a Biggie verse to one of the beats on the album. We all know this is right up my alley. I stopped what I was doing and immediately got to work. In no time flat I knocked out this little remix here. I put together some quick graphics, rendered down a video and uploaded it to YouTube. I don’t use twitter anymore but I got on it and made a post and mentioned Hit Boy in it. He saw it and even retweeted it himself. Just another day at the office.
